Kayti and Eric “Our entire livelihood and lives are threatening to crumble in a week. We just canceled our May tour with Tinderbox Circus Sideshow. But we’ve started livestreaming local artists performing at Cosmic Charlie’s—it is a chance for our local musicians to keep performing and showcasing their art…” … But why are there two pictures? When Kremena and I both arrive to create a photograph, we often have different ideas of what to photograph. We appreciate this and tend to give one another assignments that cause us to think differently about the image. Sometimes one of us is committed to capturing a wider angle for more of the setting–as a way to create a larger context. The other one of us may be focusing on more tightly cropped imagery to capture gesture and expression. Usually we can easily choose one image we feel is stronger than all the others. Sometimes we find there are two images that capture different parts of the story. For us, that is the case with these pictures of Kayti and Eric. We will continue to post one or more portraits daily. If you haven’t already let us know you’d like us to photograph you, comment below or send a private message to Kremena. We will visit you with our cameras!
