In Lexington, March 21, the first day of spring, went mostly unnoticed. It was mostly cold, with a few snowflakes disguised as rain that landed on the faces of those who ventured outside. Still, one person greeted Kremena and me with arms stretched out wide, as if about to hug the entire world. Needless to say, we kept our distance.
