Lisa and Tom moved to Lexington when Kieran was 2 weeks old. They watched him and his older brother Riley every week, Monday through Friday—until the virus hit. After that, they didn’t see their grandkids for an entire month. On the day we took this picture, Kieran and Riley’s dad had to go back to work at the University of Kentucky Hospital, which is why Kieran and Riley were visiting their grandparents. The boy’s father was expected to quarantine for 14 days after his one day of work, so Lisa and Tom didn’t know when they’d next see their grandkids.
