Johnnie Johnson is Vice President for Admissions at Transylvania University
Johnnie: “We’re going to remember 2020 like our parents remember the ‘60s. 2020 is the year EVERYTHING is up for questioning. How we work, how we treat each other, how we love, how we hate, how we care for each other, how we live our lives…
When someone asks me, 20 years from now, what I remember about 2020, I’ll tell them it was finally the year when people had to admit to themselves who they were, and if they were going to change or stay the same. I’ll tell them people had to own their flaws, and decide if they wanted to be different or resist inevitable change.
NOTHING is normal in 2020, and maybe that’s a good thing. If we keep doing the same thing, over and over again, and hope for something different, that’s the definition of insanity. 2020 forced us to change. And I’m here for that.
Growing is hard; change isn’t easy, but it is a must. Thank you 2020!”
