Javier: “It’s been a bit depressing at times. I consider myself strong. I read a lot of Nietzsche. I used to go to the gym every day. When the pandemic started, I was pretty cheerful. I even bought weights to work out in my apartment. But I found I couldn’t motivate myself. Little by little, the loneliness affected me. Especially not being able to visit my family in Colombia. That really affected me. Usually, I go home every summer. I go backpacking. Now I have to cheer myself up as there is no one else to cheer me up. So I’ve done a lot of reading. I go to the park, I sit on a blanket, and I read.”
