On Wednesday, March 18, the local tattoo shops closed. The Kenan Lecture by Joy Harjo at Transylvania University was postponed until March 2021. Harjo had been asked to speak about civility. In her absence, local small-business owners launched a platform #LexUnite, practicing kindness, civility, and care. Kurt and I continued to visit with folks practicing social distancing at home.
