Wesley, Malia, Misty, and Rebecca

Rebecca Web is Founder and Director of Community Inspired Solution since 2014.

Narrative from original post:

Misty had seen t-shirts that say “Y’all Can’t Be Doin That” and really liked them*. And because her birthday is coming up next week, her mom, Rebecca, contacted her niece who makes t-shirts and asked her to make a “Y’all Can’t Be Doin That” t-shirt for Misty. On second thought, Rebecca ordered one for herself and for Misty’s daughter Malia as well. (Wesley, Rebecca’s husband, felt definitely excluded )*For folks outside of Kentucky reading this, “Y’all can’t be doin that” is something our Governor says to us whenever we stray from the rules of social distancing he details daily. “Y’all Can’t Be Doin That” has become something like a mix of an upbeat slogan, a daily reminder, and a favorite saying by a beloved uncle.

Lexington in the Time of COVID-19 is an artwork about people practicing social distancing at a time of a deadly virus. And also offering kindness.

Kurt Gohde and Kremena Todorova capture photographs at the periphery of American culture, where drag queens, discarded couches, and abandoned motel signs exist.
